Domaine Stéphane Magnien is a producer based in the village of Morey-Saint-Denis in the famed Côte de Nuits subregion of Burgundy. It makes a range of Pinot Noir-based wines from climats in Morey-Saint-Denis, Chambolle-Musigny and Gevrey-Chambertin.

The domaine’s most important holdings are in the grand cru sites of Clos Saint-Denis in Morey and Charmes-Chambertin in neighboring Gevrey. It also has parcels in four Morey-Saint-Denis premier cru vineyards – Les Gruenchers, Clos Baulet, Les Faconnières and Les Monts-Luisants.

Morey-Saint-Denis Premier Cru wines are those made under the strictest conditions of the Morey-Saint-Denis appellation, from grapes grown exclusively in Premier Cru-classified sites. The vast majority of these wines are red, made from Pinot Noir.

A commune in the Côte de Nuits sub-region of Burgundy, Morey-Saint-Denis is home to 20 Premier Cru climats. Around 33 hectares (82 acres) of the 140 hectares (345 acres) currently under vine in Morey-Saint-Denis are classified as Premier Cru.
