Pierazzuoli Chianti Montalbano

The Pierazzuoli family have two properties, one in Carmignano and the other is Tenuta Cantagallo located in the Chianti Montalbano estate. They have been farming here since 1970 with 200 hectares of estate vineyards, olive groves, and forest. They even produce dessert wine called Vin Santo. 

This Chianti Montalbano is made from the Sangiovese variety. Ageing is done only in stainless steel and an additional three months in bottle before release. Due to the freshness of this style, it works well with lighter fare, even seafood, and is a wonderful example of a light-bodied red that will work well for summer.
