Sazerac 18 Year Old Rye Distilled 1981 b.2000 / First Release

With 1984 being the final vintage for the “Cream of Kentucky” rye, the remaining casks were placed into steel tanks in 2004 to prevent it from over-maturing. This 2000 release was bottled directly from the wood. The tanked rye provided whiskey for this annual release until 2015 when it finally ran out.
